The trunk The lines are drawn with a mixture of burnt Siena with a touch of black and the colouring puddle of the trunk is done with well diluted burnt Siena. Give movement to the branches by pulling the pigments towards the darkest zones... |

The foliage Make a mixture of viridian with a little bit of red ochre and draw the foliage’s outlines as well as the outline of the leaves’ masses. Colour the surface using the same mixture with a little bit more of yellow ochre for the puddle. Create nuances going from the clearest to the darkest tones, varying the pigment’s density and adding a bit of viridian to the initial mixture. |
