Saint Michael is called in the Scriptures: “one of the chief princes” (Dn. 10:13) and the head of the heavenly hosts that fought against the infernal powers (Revelation 12:7).
He is at the head of the angelic choirs, vigilant, in concord and unity.
Saint Michael stopped Abraham's arm in order to save Isaac, he was the guide of the Jewish nation when they came out of Egypt, he was in the midst of the fire in Babylon, he shut the mouths of the lions in the lion's den to save Daniel, he rescued the apostles in jail, and he will hold the scales during the Last Judgment.
