The colouring of the wings

Wings are coloured in a pure yellow ochre or, according to the quality of your ochre, with a bit of yellow to intensify its brightness. The colour is applied using the puddle technique and modelling slightly, leaving more transparency on the upper part of the wing and on the feathers that stand out...

The clavus

The same mixture is used for the clavus and for the wings with a small addition of red or red ochre to accentuate the color and to differentiate them.

The cup

Use the same mixture as for the wings. Apply a small puddle spreading the pigments to the sides of the cup as shown on the illustration. Apply a denser puddle at the bottom of the cup where the head of the calf is located.

The thrones

Colour : yellow ochre and a small touch of red vermilion. Apply the puddle without modelling, make a uniform layer on all the surfaces of the thrones.

Next step:

Colouring the mountain.
